A Knight to Remember....

Man United beat Lyon 2-1 yesterday with goals from Gary Nev and Ruud to send United into the knockout stages in the Champions' League... but more significantly, this was Sir Alex Ferguson's 1,000th game in charge of this brilliant team!!

"Knight in shining RED armour"

It was a fitting tribute to him and to me, the greatest thing that happened to United wasn't Cantona, wasn't Schmeichel, wasn't Giggs, but in fact it was down to the gaffer himself... Fergie. Think about it, when he came in 1986, United were popular but were only pretenders in the Football League. We had players with quality but never enough to win anything. Well in less than a decade, he has turned the club's fortunes around... winning everything in sight, and never losing the desire to win more, even now.

I for one, am really grateful that Sir Alex signed on that night in November 1986, and i will never forget how much he has done for the club we all love! For all you Red Devil fans out there who have been slamming him for any reason whatsoever, please remember what he's achieved before you slag him off. He's in a class of his own and no one... and i mean NO ONE... holds a candle to him. May the force of the Red Army always be with Fergie!

Congrats to you on your millenium game Sir Alex!!!
