Wet Weekend....

Aaaahhh... a nice Saturday morning to sleep in late.... with the sound of raindrops falling outside, and the nice warm blanket blending well with the cool weather... but why the hell am i awake at this time of the morning?!?! Haha... maybe it's coz i'm waking up a different person knowing that i'm done with my TWL job for the past 2 weeks and that i've got reservist coming up for the next 3!!! No need to think about work for about a month... now THAT's the real bonus of going to reservist!!

Anyhows, i think i've got this weekend nicely planned out.... Sharon's still sleeping now but i think i'm gonna wake her in a while coz i'm really hungry and i wanna have breakfast together with her somewhere.  She's also supposed to make the famous (or INFAMOUS) Potato Salad for Johnny Boi's gathering later! All the ingredients have been bought.. all it needs now is for her to wake up and if you ask me, that's the hardest part of it all..... I wonder though, there doesn't seem to  be too much food on the potluck menu. Maybe i should pick something up later for the whole group to eat?? Shall see about it.. i have a soccer game to catch...

This reminds me though, the last time the Orange Team met up, we got a last minute spoiler at Marina, with the groundsman claiming that the pitch was waterlogged and the game was a washout. Can you imagine that? 2 teams, 22 people, all gathered there ready to play, only to be told that there was no game and no referee??? Really was a bummer last week.. but luckily i had 2 other games the following day to make up for it. Anyways, as i was saying, today's game is also at Marina, and it's also raining and it dun seem to be stopping anytime soon. Better check with Seh Guan and maybe Desmond on the status of the game and possibly make new arrangements if need be. Should the game be cancelled i'll probably stop by J-Salon for a hair cut. No one really wants a funky soldier in the army i think.

Oh yes, finally caught Shumiin's braces yesterday. Hers ain't obvious coz she started on the bottom row of teeth. Mine is the top so i think everyone will really get a shock once they see my braces on next week. I've come to the point of no turning back though, and i'm absolutely committed for the next few years.... so i guess i've gotta face it. Some people have mentioned its coz of vanity, but PLEASE. Metal stuff to make ur teeth look like a tin opener for 3 years? i don't think so. It's basically for practical reasons... less teeth complications when i grow older... plus i have a few friends Lih Soon, Shumiin and maybe even Keli who are gonna go through the same thing together. At the end of it all, nice straight pearly whites.... after 3 yrs of horror and $4k paid out from my own pocket.... but i'll then smile beautifully for the cameras on.. well.. maybe my wedding day?? Hehe.. hmmm... wait a minute... now that's starting to sound like Vanity....

The Weekend Warrior fights on then... we'll see how it goes this time.
