Leaving the Nokia World....

Yes... i have finally done it. It may have taken time, it may have been difficult, it may not even have seemed possible, but yes, i have finally changed my phone!!! For those of you who know about my Nokia 7270 debacle a little while back, this is the supposed sequel i guess... but no the happy ending with 7270 was not to be.. but rather, i've ran off with the Samsung D500C. Talk about Love At First Sight! (speaking of which i heard Closer is a great movie....

Why the Samsung D500C? Well, it first started when Jo introed me to this phone he said he was waiting for. I decided to go and check out the details online and found that this was quite simply a brilliant phone for its class. With bluetooth, infra, mp3 player and an excellent 1.3mpx camera, this phone had just about everything a phone could need..... and to top it all off, it was stylish with it's slide-up technique..... (yes i know that sounds kinky u ass). From then on i was waiting and waiting for it to be released, and last Fri, one day before this phone was released, my old HP died. 2 years of faithful service and it had to reward me with THIS. Sort of like an unexpected suicide of sorts... argh... and thus... my hand was forced......

"It looks lovely from all angles don't it?"

This is how the new phone looks like... i would say it trashes the Nokia 7270 in terms of sleekness and style by a loooooong way...

The colours and resolution on the phone are pretty clear... think it's the best i've seen on any phone so far even if it may not be the biggest screen. Anyway the pictures you take appear really photo quality on screen, making it sort of like a digital camera which you can use any time you want... (wait a min din i spend a few dollars on a new camera some time ago??)

So far i'm still getting used to the phone... it's really filled with lotsa features and that's why its taking me some time to get really familiarised with it but from what i've seen, it's really a power packed phone. SMS typing, which i was quite afraid would be terrible after switching from Nokia, turned out to be pretty easy to pick up and i would say it is just as user friendly as a Nokia, except for maybe a few habits here and there from using a Nokia almost all my life....

Anyway, this is quite the investment for me la.. dare not even say the price here as i can't believe i spent so much on it.... Peiwen says that i can buy a PDA with that kinda money, Huili says i can buy an airtix to New Zealand, Qunwei says that i can pay a few instalments for a Ring... errrr...... All in all i must say it takes a brave person to switch away from Nokia... and i'm proud to have made the switch, even if it may have been an overly expensive one. Let's hope this is the start of a great relationship with Samsung!!

For now... bread everyday man....
