Busy Season & Travel News

I can't wait for busy season to end!

This is my third Transfer Pricing busy season here and the worst so far. The previous two were pretty relaxed. Last year, I could even go to NYC on the long Labor Day weekend. This year, I had to stay back to work on both public hols. The group has grown quite a bit since I joined, but our client base has increased tremendously over the past couple of years which probably explains why I could be so busy now. Then again, this busy season is nothing compared to the peak periods I experienced back in Singapore. That was easily ten fold worse. In any case, busy season is gonna end next week. I am finally seeing some light at the end of this two-month-busy-season tunnel. ha.

On a side note, YR will be moving in to our apartment on Monday. He terminated his lease early thinking that he might be going out of town for training on the last week here in the US. But it turned out that the company couldn't find a venue to hold the training (trust that to happen here when the training course was planned way in advance). So now he is gonna stay with us for five nights until he leaves for Singapore with a layover of one week in Moscow. He is gonna have fun by himself in Russia without his beloved dearie who is already back in Spore.

So after Sat, I will officially have no more (Singaporean) fren left.
