Go Karts!!

Wow.... a blink of an eye and it's Sunday evening already... HENG tomorrow is a public holiday man... makes Sunday feel so much more relaxed!! Quite a hectic weekend for me so far... went Go-Kart Racing over the weekend! A Go-Kart Fellowship of 6: Sharon, Zhibo, Mel, Wen, Jo and me......

We went over on Saturday afternoon.. took us a few hours to negotiate the heavy traffic but we got there eventually, and left our stuff at an apartment which Zhibo owned! Really dusty but beggars can't be choosers yea? After that it was off to shopping!! Went to do a bit of DVD hunting and came back with Trainspotting and Braveheart... yea i know.. really old shit but it's GOOD shit too! Also managed to get some PS2 games.. about time to work out that old PS2 of mine once again... the rest of the dudes bought lotsa snacks... especially Zhibo who went crazy and bought a shitload... thinking we were gonna eat alot at night!! How wrong he was man.... We feasted on seafood for dinner, eating power stuff like Stingray and the absolutely delicious Butter Crayfish!!! By the end of the meal we were pretty wasted and this lasted all the way till when we got back to the apartment... where i pretty much fell asleep immediately.. not sure what the rest did.. although i DO know that we didn't touch the snacks at all! hahah

On Sunday though, we did what we were supposed to have gone to JB for.. Go-Kart Racing!! At RM$30 for 10 mins, it was quite a steal... especially since the cars were exceptionally fast.. compared to those i tried at Batam and Desaru.. we all thus went for 20 min runs, except for Sharon, whose baby kart was so slow, safe and steady that she didn't really find much kick in it and only went for 10.

Once we had our fun though, it was time to go home.. and for me it was time to rush off to a match with the Orange Team..

Despite the stoopid Causeway jam, Zhibo and his amazing driving skills managed to get me home 10 mins after kick off, and as such, i made it to Marina in time for the second half! Played against a group of dudes who weren't really too good and we scored early in the second half when Eugene headed in a freekick from Captain Seh Guan!! After that both teams didn't really get many chances... and 5 minutes before time, Mervin the keeper got chipped (btw this is the 2nd time he kenna this from the SAME team) when their striker beat our offside trap. Demoralised we were, but who was to know, just 2 mins from time, a surging run from ME was spotted by Seh Guan and his through ball was neatly trapped and finished off by me! (ok to be honest i almost blasted it over...) Our joy was however, cut short when a few players started arguing over me being offside and even handling the ball!! (How could they doubt me!?!?) Words turned ugly and Seh Guan got caught in a scuffle with a paikia wanna-be.... the game was abandoned then and there and we had to separate the 2. Haiz.... a good goal by me, ruined by the ending... oh well... hope our next game will end better.. at least today was a win though! :)

For now though, i'm getting prepped up for the Charity Shield... where my beloved Man United will be taking on Arsenal... think both teams fielding weak sides, but it's still good enough for me.. been starved from weekly EPL action for toooo long. Ok will update the score later.. in the meantime, United all the way!!!
