Karaoke Ok?

I'm really amazed at how fast this Monday passed by. Most Mondays are really slow days, where time seems to stand still and u don't seem to wanna do anything and the day just drags by.... but for some reason today's lessons were really fast (maybe coz i'm sleeping) and 5pm came before i knew it! Of course the pool sessions in between lessons with Marc helped to pass the time too but i'm not gonna emphasize anymore on it....

This all left me with a pretty free evening, and thus i decided to spend it by going to Karaoke! Partyworld was the agreed place, with Shumiin doing all the necessary arrangements, and the others who joined in the fun were Sharon, Apple, Wenhong, Christine, Thomas and of course, the one and only, Goh Yee Chung who rushed over from work....

"An all-too-familiar sight: Yee Chung crooning to an oldie."

We sang from 6-10, and i even sacrificed an episode of Friends. Shumiin obviously didn't feel the same way about her real Friends and left us early just to go back and catch the episode.. haiz.... It was quite a fun session though, with us singing our same old favorites. I have to say though. Christine's boyfriend, Thomas, really has quite a voice! Think he might have a chance if he joins a KTV competition or something....

Anyway Sharon was telling me about some of her office friends, who seemed to be shocked that Sharon actually could Karaoke (actually i am too.. haha)... seems that they've never been to KTVs before or maybe they've not been to em often enough. I know of some people (including my parents) who have the traditional idea of KTVs, and that they are in some way connected to alcohol and erm.. girls... think they've got it confused with what some of us might call, LAP-SUP-Bars rite?? Well to those of you who still have that idea about KTVs, u really should go out and give it a try especially since there's so many around rite now (K-Box seems to be sprouting like McDonalds in its prime)..... I for one feel that it's a great way to relax and enjoy with friends, whereby you leave all your pride behind and pretend to be the Next Big Thing with a mic in front of the TV. Nothing beats singing your favorite song, sounding nowhere near the original, and yet having your friends cheer for you man.....

Ok that's it for the beginning for the week... wats in store ahead? All i know is that tomorrow i've got BCS training which lasts till night. Sounds liek a bummer but i think its sTILL beats being at work so i'll just milk it for all its worth... for now its back to finding my helmet and SBO liao.. argh.

PS: Remember the play, "Private Parts", i was telling you about a few posts earlier? I managed to spot the poster today at Heeren. Kinda creepy shit and made me think back about those days in NTU. Aaaahhh... i STILL don't believe it.

"It might have been me on the poster."
