Beating around the Bush...

Quite a sad day today man... my reservist is finally over!!!! 3 weeks just flew by me man... my days of canteen breaks, sleepy elctures, pool and midday naps are gone!!! Haiz... it's not gonna be easy for me to get my working momentum back but i'm gonna have to try.. starting with Monday's trip back to Agere!! Hope the people there remember me man.. despite my braces.... Anyway, looking back on my past 3 weeks, i must say that i have learnt quite a bit from the course, mainly about Medical Support Planning.. which an MO mainly doesn... feel that i can read maps even better than i used to and can even help with ops planning should my S3 ever ask me for help! hahaha....

Review Of Fahrenheit 9/11
I'm sure alot of you have heard about this movie.. coz the hype is pretty heavy regarding this flick! The first winner at the Cannes Film Festival, with a 20 minute standing ovation from the crowd there, it must mean that it's really good rite??
Finally caught the film myself today though, and i must say, it IS quite a masterpiece in itself. Those of you who have caught Bowling For Columbine will know how Michael Moore does his documentaries.... hidden facts from here and there that are less exposed in the media, adding a certain style and humour in the film, and finally, giving a punch that viewers will feel after watching it. Fahrenheit here does just that, except to an even higher level this time. Armed with a whole lot of political ammo, this film may be slightly harder to absrob than Bowling, but it's still pretty much understandable... and what you will find out from the film can be pretty groundbreaking, considering that Mr George W. Bush, the protagonist, is STILL President of the US!! This film takes us places we've never gone before, gives us info the media never wanted us to know, and opens our eyes to the many lies that we've all been fed in the past 3 years.

Of course, like Supersize Me, it is very very skewed, especially since Michael Moore is quite an avid Bush-whacke, and veerything and i mean, EVERYTHING in this show literally goes out to making Mr Bush look like a fool, a liar, an ass, a lazy bum, and a President... not necessarily in that order of course. However, the strong point about this film is that much of these facts were truly covered up... what's more, you get to hear interviews from people who have been directly affected by the war (ie. families who have lost people in the Iraq war and Iraqi families), and it does get quite emotional especially in the last phase of the film. Moore drives his views at us with passion and i would think all of us, whether we are bothered by the US Presidency, will be forced to think about things and how the running of the highest post in the world could be done with such slipshoddiness.....

Tim's Movie Rating - Fahrenheit 9/11 ====> 4/5
How good can a documentary be? Well catch this movie and be amazed.. i'm pretty sure the subject content might bore some of you guys but if you bother, it really is a good film as it gets you thinking. Bits of humour are complemented with emotional scenes, all of which are intertwined with things you never knew about the Bush Presidency. All i can say is, watch it and be amazed!!
