Blue Monday!!!

On Mondays, when you're dragging yourself to work, dreading the rest of the week ahead... have you ever thought that someone out there, might just be having a worse Monday than you? Well top this for a Monster Monday:

1) Not playing the routine Sunday Soccer the day before.
2) Playing for PwC and getting my ass whacked 5-2.
3) Man U losing to Chelsea.
4) First day of work after 3 relaxed weeks of reservist.
5) Going back to the horror job you just left, with a horror manager.
6) People in office seeing my braces for the first time.
7) Bad hair day.

Yes... an evil cocktail to bring even the best of us to our knees.... BUT... i must say, i'm feeling much much better now than the early part of the day. Why? Well firstly, the horror job didn't turn out to be too horrible after all, TNP didn't slam Man Utd and recognised they DID play well altho their attack sugged, and lastly, i just caught another episode of Friends!! Was just telling a friend that Friends is always a good picker-upper... no matter how sianz u may be feeling, the antics of Joey, Chandler and co. will never fail to bring a smile to your face...

Anyway, more on the new soccer season... now that the first weekend is up and running, so is our famous fantasy football league!!! Not too bad a start for me.. seeing that i'm lying rite smack in the middle of the table. Biggest upset so far though, is defending champ Ricky ending up bottom of the pile! HAha... guess the new pts system and format is leaving a lot of us scratching our heads and i'm sure this'll be another exciting season for us!!

I must say though, for the past 3 years, fantasy football has changed the lives of many of my friends and me. EPL has become more of an obsession now, which stretches way waaaay further than just supporting our own teams. Here's why:

Tim's Top 10 Signs You're Addicted To Fantasy Football
1) You log on to the website at least 5 times... every half hour.
2) You don't just see goals in a game, but rather shots, crosses, tackles, passes intercepted... etc.
3) At work or at play, you keep thinking about players you should be selecting.
4) You read up on soccer news regarding players like Alan Shearer to Zat Knight.
5) While people are talking about EPL League Leaders, you talk about Yahoo League Leaders.
6) Your maths starts getting better (3 pts for SOT, 1 pt for SC, etc), yes, even for Jo.
7) You stare at match updates more than the live game being played.
8) When you sleep every friday night, you wonder whether you've made the right selection.
9) When you talk to your girlfriend, the initials MWG, SPG and SOT keep popping up. (Oh yea you can forget about Scoring.)
10) When you play field soccer you start calculating how many points you'll get.
