HL Banana Milk anyone?

What the.....

Last spotted on the CTE:

"A cow that's going bananas"

A Horny OOOMPH in the car...

After much deliberation, i finally got down to spending money and making my car have a voice of it's own. Been scouting around for some time liao and i've finally settled on some items which i had installed during my leave. NOW you know why i always spend so much when i'm on leave... argh...

SUBWOOFER
First up is the 10" Rodek Subwoofer which has considerably lessened the number of soccer balls i can put into my boot. I've been hunting high and low for a good subwoofer to provide my system with a steady bass and thus, more kick in whatever i'm listening to. Also got myself a pair of Boschmann component speakers to take over the stock rear papercone speakers which really CMI (Cannot Make It.... u CMI asses).

OOOMPH Level: 9/10 (Power bass...)
Value for money rating: 6/10 (no i'm not gonna tell you the price. Sharon would kill me.)

"There goes a good quarter of my boot space"

Electric Dual Horns
More recently, after noticing that my wussy stock horn was barely audible on the road, i decided to go out and get the highly recommended Stebel Magnum 2 Horns. At 138 decibels, this horny pair of tweeters are the loudest legal horns you can find anywhere!! (and i must stress... LEGAL!!!) Haven't really got a chance to use it yet but i'm looking out for the next Crazy Cabby or Vrooming Van who's gonna cut my lane so that i can blast their senses into Kingdom Come... hahah

Horny Level: 9/10 (about the same as Fiona Xie)
Value for money rating: 9/10 (only frigging 25 bugs! Woohoo!!)

MacRitchie Tree Top Walk

Last Tuesday, right in the midst of me and GYC's long leave, PwC UK hotshot William's hometown holiday, and Stan's neverending period of unemployment, all 4 of us came together and decided to do something interesting together. No it wasn't anything kinky (this time at least), but it was a kind of mini-workout thing for us..... we did the famed, the much criticised, the much maligned, MacRitchie Tree Top Walk!

Yes... amazing but true... but i must say it was quite an experience for all of us! And we're glad to say that we've conquered it!! Here are some of the pics i managed to take along the way, courtesy of my Samsung... :)

The Route:

- The orange trail mapped our route for the day. As u can see, we started at the bottom right, took the anti-clockwise route, and almost walked ourselves to death.

- We were all so enthusiastic at this point! 5km only... let's do it!!

- After 10 mins, 600m down!! This HAS to be a piece of cake man... how did Mel and Ailing take 4 hours!?!?

- Hmmm... 4km... kinda getting thirsty liao..... *cough*

- Fug... we're all sweating like hell liao... and NOT even HALFWAY THERE????

- 2km.... there'll be no water left for our return trip Frodo... argh

- Ah hah!! Light at the end of the tunnel!! Let's just crawl that little bit more....

- Finally.... *faint*

We weren't gonna waste our long trip to the Tree Top Walk, and thus we decided to take our time to walk the 250m and bask in whatever Singapore Scenery there was. (ie. ZILCH.)

- Amazing how these 2 overweight asses didn't manage to break the bridge....

- You're looking at 2 genius UK employees.... hopefully.

- A disgusting pic for William to use as his wallpaper back in London, where people don't know what is a Sun.

And within 15 mins, our objective was met. We walked the Tree Top Walk. A 2 hour journey for a 15 min walk... does that make sense to you?

Anyway, a few hundred metres away from the Tree Top Walk, we found an excellent place for a rest... Jelutong Tower. Do have a look see if you're there!

- UK boy making it to the top of the tower after 7 storeys worth of stairs.

- Stan with his California Fitness Lifetime Membership pose. Grrr. And is that William checking out his ass?

After half an hour at Jelutong Tower, it was time for our dreaded walk back. That took another 2 hours but i don't really have any pics of that journey as i vaguely recall being conscious enough to hold my handphone.... it was kinda weird walking through a Golf Course and the classic Cross Country routes i used to run back in SJI man.... talk about memories....

===================================

I must say though, all throughout the walk we saw many different animals.... maybe it was kind of a homecoming to Mother Nature as it's not very often that i get a chance to go out in the wild (forest-wild... NOT Zouk-wild). These were some of the more interesting creatures we spotted:

- Iguana as per Tim. Komodo Dragon as per Stan. Chameleon as per William. Monitor Lizard as per the signboard back at the park.

- These friggin' ants are the biggest ones i've ever seen!! Look at how they compare with the leaf next to them man.... weirdly enough, this "army" only consisted of 3 soldiers. Most probably commandoes coz of their RED asses and their wild foray on the tracks....

- Lotsa Wild monkeys at MacRitchie. I could have sworn they were going to snatch Stan's RazR when he was taking pics of them though... the way they were staring at it was like Zhanwen ogling at his next phone.

Unbelievably though, there were evidently some tame ones around too... check out this chubby one which was soooooo obedient:

FA Cup Final @ Brewforte Stadium

Ok... i have to admit... i've been a bit of a media whore these past few weeks man... not to the extent of Singapore Idiot Steven Lim's level of "whoreness" but enough to make heads turn!!

In the past weeks i have:

1) Been interviewed on Live TV (Channel 8 somemore!!! Wtf!!!)
- At Brewforte Stadium for the FA Cup final... gave what i think was probably the best Chinese sentence i've ever spoken in my entire life.

2) On air with Yaz on Class 95 Love Songs
- Yaz was asking listeners on our views regarding "Stay-home Husbands" when Sharon was in my car. Jokingly i said i'm FOR... and she shouted AGAINST! Tried dialling into Class 95 while entering the CTE and amazingly I got through... Yaz got funny answers from the both of us and we couldn't help giggling on air!!

3) Appeared on Tiger Beer's official website
Again, these were from the worst FA Cup Final in living memory. Seems that they took alot of candid shots of us and posted them on their website, and we can win an Ipod Shuffle if we're lucky!!

4) Spotted on Juice Magazine
Only recently... my cousin Greg recognised my handsome features somewhere in the mag and called me immediately. Seems that they were also pics from the fated FA Cup Final at Brewforte... the idea to go there wasn't too bad after all was it?

Yup i know... that's way too much exposure for a commoner like me but well, i guess i milked it for what it was worth!! Anyway here are the pictures below for you guys to have a look... for thoes of you who were there with me, PLEEEEEEASE go into the website and join the "Spot Yourself and Win Contest!!"

================================

As we reached Brewforte 2 hours before the game, we started the evening when i was forced upstage by my supposed "Friends".... Grr...

"Winning the oldest jersey contest"

Anyway the actual game was simple.. kicking balls into a goal some 20 yards out.. i got a career low of 5 out of 12 shots but it trashed them useless Arsenal fans... My reward was of course... a ball. And a free round of beer for everyone. :)

"Posing with the fugged up Tiger FC prize ball"

And as i was mentioning, candid shots of us. Told the whole story of the game man.

"The look of anticipation everytime United attacked, except Stan of course......"

"...... followed by yet another miss... Haiz."

".... and i think this was Ruud's ridiculous back-heel miss. Fug."

Still have sad memories from that day.. but then again i dun ever, EVER dwell on bad moments. At least we all had a great time (maybe not as great for me) and i got some media exposure out of it yea? Till next season then!!
